In this week’s issue, I want to talk about why all local small businesses only need these 3 web pages and how you can help them as a Local Small Business Consultant or Digital Marketing Agency Owner…
Anything else is just a waste of time and money.
So with that in mind…
Let’s dive in!
Why Only Have 3 Web Pages?
First let’s talk about the difference between a website and a sales funnel website…
A website, or what I like to call an “online brochure”, is typically what most local small businesses have.
And it’s not their fault.
They were told by whoever sold them their website that that’s what they needed to have.
And who are they to question the so-called “web design experts?”
Or they just copied what their competitors had…
You know, monkey see, monkey do?!
Most of the time a standard website (“online brochure”) has *too much* information on it.
It can be overwhelming and confusing to the website visitor…
And the last thing you want to do is that!
Plus more often than not there’s no call-to-action (CTA)…
Sure there might be a phone number somewhere on the homepage…
Or there might be a form to fill out…
But there’s like little to no sales copy that *tells* the lead to take a specific action.
And that’s where a sales funnel website comes into play…
See, it’s designed to do one thing and one thing only…
Get the lead to take one specific action!
That action could be any of the following:
- Call the business
- Text the business
- Book an appointment online
- Submit their email address
- Make a purchase
But either way, it’s just ONE of those specific actions.
On the home
In the next section I’ll explain what’s on each of the 3 web pages.
What Are The 3 Web Pages?
Technically you can probably get away with just 2 web pages if you really wanted to…
And I’ll explain what I mean in a minute…
But 3 is the magic number to me.
Here are the 3 web pages:
- Home
- Start Here
- Thank You
The home page is pretty obvious…
But what you have on the home page is where the real magic happens!
On the home page you should be able to answer the following questions…
- Who?
- Why?
- What?
- How?
- Where?
In that order…
The page itself should be structured in a way that’s very user friendly.
Meaning, it’s easy to navigate and more importantly…
Easy to consume!
Nowadays it’s more important than ever to make a great first impression…
And with attention spans shrinking at an astronomical rate…
You have only a few precious seconds to capture the lead’s attention…
And quickly allow them to make a split second decision on whether that business is the right fit for them.
How Do The 3 Web Pages Work?
Of course the home page is the default page shown when the website visitor lands on the site.
On the home page there’s a simple navigation menu that allows the visitor to quickly navigate and skim the page for the pertinent information they are interested in.
In every section of the home page there are call-to-action buttons (or links) that should take them to the “Start Here” page…
The start here page is set up in a way to clearly and concisely inform the website visitor what to do next and what to expect…
While overcoming any objections that they may have through the use of frequently asked questions.
At this point we don’t want the website visitors to do anything else so we remove the navigation menu.
The start here page still has the location (a picture of the office building and address) near the bottom of the page.
Then there’s the “Thank You” page…
This is the one page that can be optional in my opinion.
Why?
Because it’s really only used for confirmation…
And the confirmation can be for one of two things…
- Opt-in for a lead magnet
- Booking an appointment
So if the local small business doesn’t have a lead magnet (or doesn’t want to offer one)…
Or if they don’t have the ability to book appointments online…
As you can see, then there wouldn’t necessarily be a need for a thank you page.
If a thank you page is warranted…
It should be similar to the start here page…
Having the location and address near the bottom…
And perhaps even the frequently asked questions.
With a couple slight differences…
The thank you page should have different verbiage on it thanking them for their interest in the lead magnet or booking their appointment…
And it should have a call-to-action below that on the page to get the website visitor to their final destination, the start here page.
Where Should You Create These 3 Web pages?
As I previously mentioned…
These 3 web pages make up a “Sales Funnel Website.”
So it’s preferable to create these 3 web pages in a sales funnel builder like…
- HighLevel
- ClickFunnels
- Kartra
- LeadPages
- Convertri
- Systeme.io
- Simvoly
- KickPages
- Builderall
- Etc.
Technically you can build the 3 web pages in HTML or something like WordPress…
But it’s much faster in a funnel builder application…
Plus there’s so many additional features that are 100% native to the funnel builder application.
So it just makes much more sense to build these 3 web pages in one of the aforementioned funnel builder applications.
I’ve been a BIG proponent of ClickFunnels…
Because in my opinion it was the easiest page builder to use…
That was until HighLevel basically cloned ClickFunnels page building functionality.
I mean it’s almost an exact replica of ClickFunnels.
And the fact that HighLevel has so many additional features that ClickFunnels does not have…
In my opinion it just makes it a complete no-brainer to use HighLevel instead.
Initially I used to call this type of sales funnel website, a Local Hybrid Sales Funnel Website…
Why?
Because I also combined it with a blogging platform like WordPress for SEO purposes.
But with HighLevel, one of the features you’re also given is a blogging platform (NOT WordPress).
So if you use HighLevel, you can use that instead of WordPress if you prefer.
Since I’ve made the switch from ClickFunnels to HighLevel…
I dropped the word “Hybrid” from the name of this type of website…
And now I simply refer to it as, “Local Sales Funnel Website.”
The other thing that HighLevel has allowed me to do is…
Incorporate something called “custom values”…
These custom values can be set up to completely templatize these 3 web pages…
So I no longer have to recreate the entire sales funnel for every niche/industry.
Which is why it’s the software solution that I prefer to use for all of my client’s needs.
And thus ensures that everything works seamlessly…
And the best part is that it’s all housed in one spot, one login…
I don’t have to deal with things like:
- Multiple software
- Multiple logins
- Multiple fees
HighLevel just keeps things…
SIMPLE.
I love it…
And more importantly, my clients love it!
So if you’re not using HighLevel yet…
I encourage you to do so.
I must warn you though…
Once you go HighLevel, you won’t go back! 😉
Give it a shot, I promise you’ll love it too…
And your clients will thank you for it.
