In this week’s issue, I want to continue this newsletter series and talk about how a specific client prospecting strategy I have coined as the “Facebook Pixel Method” is a great way to get more clients as a Local Small Business Consultant or Digital Marketing Agency Owner…

Why You Need To Use Proven Client Prospecting Methods

In order to have a real business as a Local Small Business Consultant and/or Digital Marketing Agency Owner…

You need to have clients!

In order to get clients…

You need to have a system/process in place to put yourself and/or your business’ products or services in front of prospective clients.

This is where most fail.

They simply do not have or implement a proven client prospecting method.

Because without a proven client prospecting method or strategy…

You’re relying on hope.

And hope is not a plan.

Like the old saying goes…

“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”

So if you want to run a successful Digital Marketing Agency as a Local Small Business Consultant…

This needs to be your top priority.

Nothing else matters.

And that’s why I have decided to do this client prospecting series of newsletters. 

But before I get any further into this week’s newsletter…

I want to share with you what I believe to be the Top 7 client prospecting methods.

 

What The Top 7 Client Prospecting Methods Are

I’ve been in the Local Small Business Consulting industry and have run my own Digital Marketing Agency for the better part of the past 14 years.

So it’s safe to assume that I’ve done my fair share of client prospecting over the years.

With that being said…

Here’s what I’ve determined to be the top 7 proven client prospecting methods:

  1. Website Hosting Method
  2. Free Listing Method
  3. Repurpose Reviews Method
  4. Google Maps Method
  5. Google Message Method
  6. Facebook Pixel Method
  7. Facebook Ad Method 

I’m not going to get into all 7 in this week’s newsletter…

I’m sure you can guess what some of them are from their titles…

But I’ll leave you guessing for the ones you haven’t figured out…

And hopefully you’ll be looking forward to each newsletter of this series which will come in the following weeks!

In this week’s newsletter…

I want to focus your attention on the second client prospecting method: Facebook Pixel Method.

But first things first…

 

Why The Facebook Pixel Is Such A Powerful Prospecting Method

Two reasons really…

  1. It’s easy to identify using the Facebook (Meta) Pixel Helper Chrome extension 
  2. ALL websites nowadays should have the Facebook (Meta) Pixel installed (even if they aren’t currently doing any sort of advertising whatsoever)

In all honesty, the Facebook Pixel should be installed on every website on the Internet…

Like having Google Analytics or having a SSL certificate.

And if a local small business’ website has a lot of organic traffic…

Then it’s ever more important that they have the Facebook Pixel installed.

Why?

So that they can easily create a retargeting ad that will ONLY show to anyone who’s visited their website and no one else.

Retargeting ads have been proven to be highly effective and typically produce a high ROI (Return On Investment).

So it’s an absolute no-brainer to implement a Facebook retargeting ad…

But in order for it to work properly…

You must have the Facebook Pixel installed collecting data…

So that you can create a custom audience of website visitors from the data the Facebook Pixel has accumulated.

It’s an easy fix…

Especially when you have a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) that explains step-by-step how to create and install a Facebook Pixel.

And if you can convince the local small business to not only have you install a Facebook Pixel for them…

But also to set up a retargeting ad on a small daily budget of about $1-2…

They will be extremely happy with the results!

 

How The Facebook Pixel Method Works

It’s really straightforward…

You’re just going to pick a niche and a city…

Then go to Google.com and enter the niche and city you choose into the search bar…

Click search and then click on the map…

All the local small businesses in that niche and city will show up there and you can then click on each listing to open their website in a new tab.

For every website you have opened up in a new tab, you’ll check the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome extension to see if it’s “lit up” blue or still grayed out.

If it’s blue, that means they have a Facebook Pixel installed…

If it’s still gray, that means the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome extension couldn’t find the Facebook Pixel code on that particular website.

Once you identify which websites DO NOT have the Facebook Pixel installed…

Then make a list of all local small businesses that do not have the Facebook Pixel and put them into a spreadsheet with their contact information and any notes.

After you’ve got a good amount of local small businesses in your spreadsheet…

Start to reach out to them via email or SMS text message with a simple message that gets their attention and more importantly a response!

That’s it!

Just like previously mentioned…

There are some lead scraping software that can automatically detect this for you.

  • Local Lead Sniper
  • Plus, many more…

So if you want to take the time sucking manual searching required if you don’t have a piece of software like this…

I highly recommend using Local Lead Sniper or something similar to do all the heavy lifting for you (or your Virtual Assistant).

I said this the last two weeks…

And I’ll say it again…

The key to this client prospecting method (like any other) is doing the work!

Having a plan of action and executing it.

This is a never ending process and will only be as successful as the amount of work that’s put into it.

And in my opinion that’s why you simply cannot afford to NOT have a Virtual Assistant that you can rely on to do the work that you (and frankly I) won’t do.

So take this proven client prospecting method and have your VA implement it today!
